In 2001, Dublin became the country's first school district to reach the highest level of accreditation given by the North Central Association, the nation's premier accrediting institution. This is the highest level of endorsement among 19 states and more than 9,000 schools. But there's more. Dublin now boasts international accreditation status among 30,000 schools in 125 countries including France, Germany, Great Britain and Japan. This is because NCA members such as Dublin are now members of CITA, an organization that brings together educators worldwide to promote accreditation and school quality standards.

When it comes to the State Report Card, the Dublin City Schools will soon be batting a thousand. The district is projected to achieve a perfect score, meeting all 22 standards when official results are released in March of 2003 – a feat accomplished by only 46 of Ohio's 607 school districts last year. This will make Dublin the largest school district in Ohio to achieve an “Excellent” rating.

The Dublin City Schools effectively prepare students to make the transition from the classroom to the “real world.” High School students choose from 23 Advanced Placement and Honors classes in Literature, English, Spanish, Japanese, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, History, Sciences, Studio Art and more.

The results are evident: Ninety-three percent of Dublin graduates moved on to college last year. One student earned a perfect score on the ACT and Dublin students continue to perform well above the national and state averages on college entrance exams. Students achieved a composite score of 23.3 on the ACT and recorded SAT averages of 562 (Math) and 530 (Verbal). Dublin also produced an all-time district-high 14 National Merit Semifinalists this fall and 53 AP Scholars for the 2001-02 school year.

Students also excel in extracurricular activities with championship athletic teams, a nationally recognized theatre program, award-winning student newspapers and the traveling Lah Dee Dah student art exhibit. More than 400 students and staff members were recognized in June at the annual Excellence in Education Awards Breakfast for earning regional, state, national or worldwide recognition for their accomplishments.

Eighteen percent of the student population is culturally diverse, including 568 English as a Second Language students who speak more than 40 different languages.
